  Great escape from urban DC, and just a short walk from Hill East (or you can park at RFK's parking lot when it's open)! The island has a 0.25 mile walk on a dirt trail with great views and a feeling of being out of the city. It's much smaller than neighboring Kingman Island, but the dirt trail and dense growth gives it a much more wild feel than most of Kingman Island.
