::Adorable shop!! Definitely check Her Book Shop out. Left with 3 wonderful books and I love helping a local small business!

::Wonderful selection. Each book is clearly chosen carefully. I wanted to read every book in the store. This could easily be the only bookstore you ever need!

::Hey East Nashville - we no longer have to drive to Green Hills to get our indie bookstore fix! This friendly spot has a constantly changing selection of quirky, arty, and more mainstream titles, and their events are thoughtful and unique. And no, you don’t have to be a “her” to go inside - I’ve bought many books here in the past few months and have never felt more manly.

::There are probably only two or three bookstores that are worth checking regularly in Nashville. Parnasus in Green Hills and Her (the third might be McKay's and fourth might be the Vanderbilt Barnes and Noble). Her is the smallest, but the floorspace is dense with superb book selections, like Parnasus. Compared to Parnasus, Her's books are more stylish and hip. And a younger, active woman seems to be more the audience than Parnasus' older, settled, "mom" target. But, they're not the Portlandia Feminist Bookstore - even a guy will find lots of great stuff, as I definitely did. You'll certainly find amazing gifts for your literary and not so literary friends of both genders too. So, obviously Her is not Barnes and Nobles or McKay. If you know the specific book you're looking for, buy it on Amazon. But if you're looking for inspiration, check out Her. It's a great place to have in your repertoire of Nashville hotspots.

::Her Bookshop is the best bookshop in Nashville, hands down. The books are all so beautiful I come out wishing I had bought a half dozen. If Joelle doesn't have it in stock, ask her to order it for you. Plus they have story times on Saturday mornings for kids (and lots of other events).
