::Perhaps the service was once better than the hand we were dealt, but our experience with this florist left a terrible impression: 1. Poor communication: Not personable - Every time we called, the person answering was curt, as if we were "interrupting" the person on the other end of the call, and we could never reach the person we were looking for by phone. 2. Not accessible: After multiple attempts to schedule a meeting for a wedding. We were finally able to reach Ray, who seemed to barely have time for us (I've met with much higher demand vendors who were reachable and personable). 3. Unprepared: When we met with the florist, we were expecting a catalogue of work and also input of creative ideas based on our wedding theme and color scheme. He had *nothing* to show us, except a candelabra of fake flowers on the table where we sat, and a few empty vases scattered throughout the room. When we asked if he had anything to show us, he told us that he figured we would have already gotten ideas from pinterest or elsewhere to bring to him. Really? 4. Lack of Professionalism: After a run down of all of our needs and finalizing the cost, we shook hands and agreed to reconvene and sign a contract after sorting out a couple of other expenses. With every subsequent call, we were told by a rather disgruntled-sounding employee that we'd get a call back. Never got a response. After multiple attempts and weeks of wasted time waiting for a reply, we realized we were dealing with a bad apple. A professional, or any sensible person for that matter, would have at least responded with an explanation of why we had not gotten a reply, even if that explanation was that he could no longer provide the service. Of all people, business owners understand that time is money, so why waste our very limited time? All in all, the florist at the Heights did us a favor. By pulling a disappearing act, it paved the path that led us to a much more prepared and professional florist, who was not only more communicative and accessible, but much more professional and offered a better bang for the buck. God bless the customers on here who had rave reviews. I suppose they were the lucky ones. My personal recommendation is to look elsewhere.

::I've been dealing with Ray for at least 15 years...My husband use to send me roses from Heights for every occasion, and they always lasted for weeks. Last week, my aunt passed away unexpectedly and the wake was Thursday. I stopped in Wednesday night just before closing and spoke briefly to Lori. I told her I would call her in the morning with my order. When I called, I was still unsure what to order, so I just told her how much I wanted to spend and left it up to her. The arrangement she made was absolutely beautiful! They have never disappointed me in all these years. I am so happy that I left it up to her! Thanks Lori.

::Great service, beautiful arrangements from simple to elaborate, a cute shop for gift items and; upstairs, book a nice tea party in their Victorian Tea Room! From four to thirty by advanced reservation you and your guests will enjoy traditional finger sandwiches, scones and; of course, teas of your choice. Also this shop is across from three great shops - Young Fashions for baby and infant clothing and gifts, Not Too Shabby for great re-purposed furniture and wonderful gift items and a new high end resale designer furniture and home decor store called Interior Design Consign with amazing things at great prices. Make a day of it and try some of the nice restaurants in Hasbrouck Heights!
