::The bad reviews on here kind of scary. I have never had a problem with this heartland Bank. I like it cuz when my debit card is set to expire I can go to their office and get one immediately instead of through the mail and keep my original pin. I open my account with them and been with them since 2009. One winter my car wouldn't start and somebody from the office even helped me.

::If I could give 0 stars I would. I have banked here since I was 12 opened my first account with them. I have had other issues that I tried to over look because I love the lady’s in the office but they have gone to far. I deposited a check on a Friday they put a hold on it and then passed me a piece of paper that I signed agreeing to the hold, stating I would get a portion of that check by that next Monday. After waiting over the weekend and waiting till after 12 o’clock that Monday, the money had not yet hit my account. When I called to ask where the money was they informed me that it would actually be 2 weeks. They then said there was nothing I could do except wait and they can’t do anything about it. When I said I had bills due this week and I will just figure it out elsewhere, and I would come to get the check back, they then told me they can’t give me back the check. I have banked with them since I was 12 and will be closing my account ASAP bank elsewhere!

::I had an account with them and chose to move to a different bank, I called asking to close my account as I know I had a zero balance, they said everything was okay and the account was now closed. Come to find out they did not close the account and I had auto-bills I forgot to move to my new card that charged to my heartland debit card. Needles to say the account went negative and continued to get late fees put on until it reached almost $900 and I didn't even find out until a debt collector started to call me! Heartland never even tried to get in touch to get the initial balance paid off or sorted through them. Beyond frustrating and its also not the first time they have told me they did something and it didn't happen. Card fraud had happened and I physically went in and a young man told me it was reported and being taken care of....call a week later and a woman told me no report was ever made.

::Think I’ve been here over a dozen times. I use a total of four banks...Not the friendliest staff here by any stretch. No greetings, small-talk, hello, nada. Not so much rude, but borderline.
