  In addition to a thoughtful selection of Balkan-style meats and dry goods (pickles, jars of preserved peppers, chocolates, biscuits), this jam-packed little shop has all the necessities for home-canning and food preserving : the only market in the neighbourhood (I'd gone to 4 other grocers before) to carry citric acid. Also found here are little sachets of baking powder, Balkan brands of yeast and spices, and dairy products. The proprietress is charmingly old-world. A gem in Astoria.
