  I just moved to the area, and where I live, on Terrace Avenue, is a very busy intersection. I've been here for 5 months, called them maybe 3 times. I feel very safe. They respond quickly. I was first bummed about the "no parking on the street" law, but now I appreciate it...even after two parking tickets. If people are upset about their interactions with the Hasbrouck Heights police, they should maybe consider what the context of their interaction was.

  Every experience I have ever had with the HHPD has been a very very good one. God Bless them. They are a small dept with BIG responsibilitiy!!!

  newer facilities police station 12 years old municipal court on the second floor attached fire house 3bays volunteer fireman police force a lot of nepotism on the ball Police Department simple traffic violation generally brings two Marked cars and Detective for a simple seat belt violation or cell phone use

  I don't have any experience with policemen but I do have experience with people and it's been enough to deem this department hateful. Probably some of the rudest people I've met in the area. When citizens come or call asking for help, if you're unable to help, the least you can do is be polite about it. Whatever happened to common courtesy? If restaurant servers can be kind to you, then least of all so can your law enforcement officers. Just wait until they need help with something.
