::If your going there to get help, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, it will take hours to be seen, and there was so many people, no where to sit and it will give you more anxiety and mental problems waiting there to be seen, NOT worth it! GO TO MLK URGENT CARE FOR MENTAL HEALTH OFF OF Wilmington! Quick easy and really informing! They except Medi-cal!

::I've been with them for over a month now doing intake sessions. I was initially wary because of the older reviews, but honestly they've treated me well. The most important thing is that they have gone over various treatment options with me and have let me make the decisions myself. It's very important for anyone who wants to regain control over their lives to have choices they can make. They gave me time and the tools required to learn all the various treatment options and, once I researched it myself, we went over it together to decide what was best and why.

::O.k. so I want to say that this was the first time that I ever had to deal with any mental health issues. Unfortunately this occurred to my son after he was eighteen and as a parent it is very scary. You feel lost and nobody tells you what to expect or what to do you just are left stumbling, guessing and searching for the best facility with the best doctors to help your child/young adult. This facility is one of them. I was very afraid for him to be there due to the sketchy reviews. But I didn't have a choice as my son had to be picked up and was transported there. So first if you have a young adult that will willingly sign a power of attorney or an advance care directive that allows you to be informed about their health do so immediately! This allows the doctors to talk to you about their health while your child is in there. This place always kept me updated. I called frequently like 10 x a day frequently and they were never rude. But I was never rude to them either!!! Even when I was scared and wanted to! Just figure your child is under their care why would you want to be. Moving on he is still currently there 5 days in so far so good . I have talk to the staff and they have a team that is dedicated to helping my child be a functioning member of society.. Hope this helps someone . I will write another review once my child/young adult is home. Just remember to call the nurse in charge of your child to keep undated. Although its hard as hell try not to go off awhen your not getting the answers you need.

::This place is wonderful. It's a process, just like any other government aid, but I promise..it's worth the time & effort. Great team of therapists/psychiatrists! The staff at a whole is very helpful. (not including front desk receptionists) This place helped me learn the tools & skills to have a life with reduced suffering. A life worth living. Best of luck on your journey to recover the life you always hoped was possible.
