::Nice place for vintage books & old-fashioned stuffs. Reasonable policies, heart-warming price and friendly owner.
Morgan Partee
::I will dissent from others here- I loved this place. The owner is friendly, and does insist on no photos or phone ringers, which I love. It's a very small store, slammed full of books, but the selection is great and the prices are good.

::Right when you walk in the owner is telling you about his silly "no bag or phone use policy". I understand that there is a likelihood of theft when people can steal books in a bag or take pictures of a rare book cover. However that is part of running a business and part of running a business is about making customers feel comfortable and welcome which he definitely fails to do. On my way out, he also greeted some clearly androgynous folks and said "Hello ladies, please remove your purses and turn off your phones". The one person stood there still in the entrance appearing to finish up a text. Instead of letting this person finish he was yelling and saying "MISS, PLEASE LEAVE YOUR BAG ON THE COUNTER AND TURN OFF YOUR PHONE". This person looked up and said "I'm not a woman". Yikes...This business owner is not in touch with his customers and fails to recognize basic customer service. Won't be back.

::I get that it must be hard work to own a business on this block but the owner isn't putting up with anything from his customers. He's kind of rude and condescending the moment you walk in the door.
Pearl Patel
::An unpretentious book shop. The owner will ask you to make sure your phone is on silent to respect other customers browsing the walls of books. It really helps maintain the vibe of getting "lost in books". Also, the used and new books are reasonably priced.
