::Very disappointing. I am a regular at this place and the recent hair cuts i have been getting are medicore at best

::I was highly surprised at the outrageous racism shown against us upon visiting this location. On Sunday Apr 8 I took my Black American daughter in for a hair cut and style. When I checked in I was number 7; however I was told by 3 stylist (one of which was the Manager- Zena Shilleh ) that they were too busy and to wait for the next stylist. To no surprise at this point the next stylist (Mileana) said she couldn’t cut that style!! Isn’t this HairCuttery!! Aren’t they supposed to be qualified to cut all hairstyles. By the way she wanted a Mohawk style and all races wear those nowadays (smh )Also one of the stylist who claimed they had an appointment scheduled actually took a walk-in. I will be reporting this to headquarters. As much as I try not to make things a race issue the treatment we received was clearly racism!

::This was my second time I went there. My first time there was good. But this time after me telling the person cutting my hair that I just want 1/2 inch off and an even trim, the lady didn't even asked me what size clipper to use and started to cut my hair way too short. When i complained and stopped her she had the guts to tell me that I'll like it BETTER THIS WAY. Very poor attitude and service. Never going back.

::I was a walk-in, my first time here, and I got Tina. She was great. She listened and did what I asked, and it turned out just like I wanted. I asked her to use the thinning scissors and she was super nervous because my hair is really fine and she was like, 'I don't think it will look good'... but my past two hair cutters have used the thinning scissors and it turns out perfect, so she listened and trusted me and voila! It worked perfectly and she told me 'Oh, now I see what it does for your hair! It gives you the effect of layers without creating harsh lines across your hair!' And I was so grateful that she listened and respected me and my thoughts for my own hair :) Tina is great!

::Very frustrating service. I received a haircut by Milena at this location on 2/4/18. After barely greeting me, she asked me to take a seat and confirmed that I wanted my hair cut with a "2 guard." Next thing I knew, she was chopping at the top of my hair (which I've been growing out for months) with thinning sheers. I asked her to stop, to which she replies "well, now it'll be uneaven." Frustrated, I let her finish, and called it a day. I went home and realized that hard part she created (which I didn't ask for) was uneven, with different length straggling hair sticking out, and a very uneven faded line on the non-part side. Needless to say I had to trim and clean up my own haircut when I got home, just to ensure I was some degree of presentable for work the next day, and then quickly made it to another Hair Cuttery (in Bethesda), which cleaned up the mess that Milena left. She never asked me if I liked my cut, never asked if I wanted anything else done, didn't offer a shampoo--it goes on. Perhaps this wasn't her best day at work, or perhaps she was just ready to get home--nevertheless, we might have all benefited from her taking one less client that day.
