::INSTEAD OF GVC COMPANY DEALING WITH THE PROBLEM THAT THEY HAVE AT THERE LOCATION WITH THERE MANAGER CHRIS AND MATRON LAVETTE THEY DELETE ALL OF THE BAD REVIEWS AND NEVER CALL TO TRY AND FIX THE PROBLEMS. THEY ARE ALWAYS LATE AND I DONT MEAN 5 OR 10 MINUTES ITS MORE LIKE OVER AN HOUR. LAVETTE IS VERY RUDE AND NASTY AND I HAVE NEVER FELT COMFORTABLE WITH HER BEING ON THE ROUTE WITH MY CHILD. AT ONE POINT SHE WAS REMOVED AND THEN PUT BACK ON ROUTE AND ALL THESE PROBLEMS STARTED AGAIN. JADIRA GALLEGO MOTHER AND NOT SCARED TO EXPRESS MY CONCERS AND WILL MAKE ALL THE REPORTS I CAN TO MAKE SURE SHE IS REMOVED FROM MY DAUGHTERS ROUTE....

::I am a recent former driver to gvc but not new to access a ride. Some of the people there are cool, though you should be wary when it comes to those you get close to. From what I've noticed, it is better to get your job done & leave b/c some of them like to "talk", guys & females. On another note, I had two delimmas, one with a mentor & another (which I have recently found out) with a dispatcher. I had an issue with the mentor b/c she wrote on my progress report that I went over a curb (if you have the mirrors set correctly & you check them frequently, you would not only feel the bus/vehicle raise a bit due to going on a curb, you would see it in the mirrors so I would have noticed) & something about me not checking my mirrors which was a lie. I told Joe I did go over a curb the first day due to me still getting used to the bus but the day she was speaking of (the third day) is definitely false. By the second day I was pretty comfortable driving it. I find it appalling that they have progress reports for the new drivers but not the mentors. If so, I would have brought up a few things she was doing that she should not have since they are supposed to be leading by example but I guess management could care less. . Then a dispatcher said I hung up on him & said something (I forgot their wording) that gave him the impression that I didn't want to drive a bus which was another lie. . I believe their issue was me asking him if the persons route (I didn't have a route) is a bus or a car but I asked so I would know if I needed to bring my cushions (I get tired of carrying them) since there is no seat adjuster on the buses but I guess he assumed I was being picky by asking. As I told them, it was around four in the morning when I called for my start time (I overslept) & I called once I woke up so I wasn't "all there" (it takes a bit for my brain to adapt in the mornings). They also said he told me to come in which was a lie. I wish I would have remembered to have them listen to my recording (I record all of my calls) but honestly I do not think it would have mattered because Regina & Naida seemed to already have their minds made up. They called me in to speak on those two situations & I defended myself respectfully which lead to me being let go. I asked why & Reginas response was that I keep popping up into things which made no sense to me b/c there were only those two situations so it is obvious they have a personal issue with me. It did not make sense for both of them to be there. From how the conversation went, it felt as if they were ganging up on me. They were strongly defending these two people which pinched a nerve but I remained calm. It was like nothing I said even mattered. It is a disappointment b/c it was a waste of time when I could have been working for an employer who has respect for their new drivers & due to my situation I need the money. I'm pretty sure they will give me a hard time about giving me my check. I asked about it before I left & Naida said she will call me later but she never did. If the worst comes to worse, I will be taking them to court for it or whatever other avenue that is available. My advice for those who are looking to drive, do your research. Talk to as many of the drivers there & then come to your conclusion. You do not want to end up working for a company that does not care for their employees or a company that plays favorites. You want your opinions/concerns to matter as well & you want to be sure you will be treated fairly. . My apologies for any grammatical errors. Stress has done some damage to the memory portion of my brain but I'm working on strengthening it. . Anyway, best wishes.
