  My seven year old daughter has been taking guitar lessons with Ivan for the past year. She absolutely loves going to see him each week. Ivan is very flexible when it comes to lesson times and makeup classes. Ivan teaches her both classic music as well as whatever new song is on the radio. She especially loves that aspect. I highly recommend Ivan for anyone looking to take instrument lessons.

  Our son has been taking piano and guitar since about the age of 5. At age 7 or so, he was getting bored and almost quit. We met Ivan at the Islip Street Fair, and instantly our son was once again excited. Ivan makes the lessons fun and relevant to what kids want to learn. Our son is now 16 and still cant wait to go a few times a week. His has become an an amazing musician. Ivan has played a very important role in his life, and we are forever grateful.

  Our daughter has been taking piano with Ivan for over 3 years now and she really enjoys it and has learned to play some classical songs as well as contemporary hits! She is doing great at music in school since she can read music and is excited to play - and thinks "he's really nice and he helps you a lot!"

  My sons, ages 15 & 17, have been taking guitar and piano lessons with Ivan since they were in kindergarten and first grade. Ivan is patient and brings each child along at a pace that his right for him/her, but he also challenges them to improve and get to a higher level. Both boys have excelled at music in school and I attribute much of their success to working with Ivan all these years. I highly recommend him for both children and adults.
