  Fun park along the Mount Vernon Trail and the GW Parkway where you can watch the planes land at National Airport.

  Really nice area to watch the planes come in. Picnic tables and shade! Only down side is the amount of poop on the lawn from ducks and dogs, small amount of parking space available, and only bathrooms are port a potties. Otherwise it’s a nice area

  Excellent place to spend the day. I do recommend that you bring a blanket, sunscreen, walking shoes, water & possibly some food for this trip if you are planning to stay a while. Watching the airplanes land and take off is exciting. Don Jons are available for restroom needs. Great place to take pictures! STAY OFF THE BIKE PATH!, please if you are not riding. Other bikers get mad and frustrated when onlookers are standing around.

  Great sight seeing place, there's a runway across the lake where planes land and takeoff frequently. Has a lot of parking and great picnic spot. I don't remember if there's any public lavatories. And there's also several trails for cycling and jogging.
