  Ed and Atsuko are patient, knowledgeable, and friendly. I recently started a sole proprietorship, which...complicated my tax position a bit. Ed helped me work through all my expenses, deductions, and other considerations to make sure I was optimizing my return, preparing myself for the following year, and remaining 100% IRS compliant.   Went here last year and did my taxes just because I had the hassle of doing them myself. I told like 3 or 4 people how much I paid and they immediately told me I overpaid. I didn’t think much of it because it wasn’t substantially more than they said they paid. Went back again this year and showed him my documents. He went through everything and it came up that I drove for Uber and Lyft for a couple months. He immediately said that would be another $80 more than last year. So then I immediately asked him for an overall cost and he told me $360. Little did he know that I paid him $200 last year. That’s $160 more, not $80. Then he tried to convince me that it would be even more expensive everywhere else but clearly I’m not going to spend time on such a ridiculous situation. And please note, I don’t have anything really crazy going on (a few W2s as I found different jobs, mortgage interest as I own a home, coverage for insurance (which he made it sound like was going to be super hard or something as I had Covered CA for a few of those months, and an interest income statement for like $20...that’s literally it). I’m sick being scammed by places. He probably could do these taxes in two hours tops. $180/hour? Give me a break. Not gonna happen!! He was nice to me (although I could sense a hostile tone when he talked to his secretary/wife) and professional so I gave two stars rather than one.

  I was last minute looking for someone to help me amend my taxes and Edwin was so incredibly nice and helpful. I was in a time crunch and he was able to fit me in quickly. He was super personable and thorough. I'm very happy I found him and I will be going back!
