::So far I've had a terrific experience with Gold Star. It all started with Marc Thompson and his visit to my home to provide an estimate for the two jobs I needed (Phase I ductless AC complete!). He was very thorough and knowledgeable. He addressed all my questions and concerns at the time of his visit and was very responsive to my inquiries as my wife and I were trying to make our final determination on whom to award the project. So far we have no regrets. Marc scheduled the job and the company was/is very proficient in their communications. They sent texts and emails of the appointment dates and the day of the job they sent texts indicating which tech they dispatched and when they left to head to my house (This was actually done whenever they dispatched someone to the house and on a daily basis). The job took roughly two and a half days (two condensers and 5 indoor units). Brian was thorough in explaining the job and what was going to be done. Then Jose, Josh, and Chris took over. (I saw a couple of other faces - and they were great as well - from the team but these three gentlemen where the "main" workforce I saw in my house all three days). They were very respectful and cleaned up thoroughly after themselves. They displayed great team work in finishing this project. The job was not as noisy or dirty as I anticipated (and dreaded). After the first couple of hours of the guys working all my concerns and dread faded away. These guys are true professionals and Gold Star is lucky to have them as part of their team! Afterwards Josh did a thorough (there goes that word again but I guess THOROUGH is a great way to describe this company and its employees!) job in showing me how the units work. Gold Star will be coming back for Phase II to do my oil to gas conversion, replace my boiler and water heater so I will have another review coming. I have no doubt that this job will go just as splendidly as the installation of my ductless system! I thoroughly recommend Gold Star!

::Blew out the pipe in my crawl space. Call Gold Star after reading their reviews. Made an appointment and they kept me informed throughout the process. I was at work so they politely worked with my wife and kept her informed. They arrived on time and inspected the pipe and he gave us 3 options. I was given a price but told them that It was very expensive and he was able to knock of $50. I still thought it was expensive but chose to go with the basic option and replace the section of pipe that exploded. FYI: it was a simple repair of a pipe that was accessible in the crawl space. It was fixed in about 1 hr. He sent me pictures of before and after and the the Job was finished professionally. Although I still believe they were a little over priced they did a professional job. He cleaned up and left my house the way he found it clean. I rate them 4.5 stars only because of cost everything else about Gold Star was top notch I would call them back they seemed to do good work and I believe in doing it right once instead of doing it twice.

::Absolutely poor communication amongst the staff members. I was supposed to be the first appointment today but I missed a confirmation call at 740. I called back at 746, the rep said that he would deliver the message. At 1140 I get a call asking me if I still needed service??? The then representative, Heather-extremely pleasant and patient, said that no notation was made. I asked for the manager to call back, but apparently they’re too good to call back a customer who is extremely distraught. I would give zero stars but because Heather was so patient, two would suffice.

::I had a great experience with Gold Star. I had an unexpected, urgent need on a Saturday and called on short notice - they were able to get someone to my house within two hours! They had given me a four hour window initially and showed up towards the beginning of it (that never happens!). The plumbers that helped me were extremely helpful, explained everything that was wrong and gave me multiple options and price ranges on how I could address them. The main plumber, Jose, even went out to multiple stores to find a part that was needed. Overall, I was very happy with the service and the results. They were careful around the house, cleaned up everything, etc. Really, really good.
