  BUYER BEWARE: FAILS GOLD ACID TEST (not the exact transcript, I am going from memory) Ring Ring... Gold Palace: Gold Palace, how can I help? Me: Hi, I placed an order about a week ago and it arrived today, my order number is #####. Gold Palace: Let me pull up the details... How can I help? Me: After unpacking the chain, it weighs in at 5.75g of the 5.8 grams which is fair, but it does not pass the gold 22k test. Gold Palace: (did not understand, lady got defensive) Me: I'm sorry, I don't understand what you are saying, can I please speak to somebody who can speak English? Gold Palace: I can speak. Me: Can I please speak to somebody who can speak better? Gold Palace: ... (man takes phone) Gold Palace. Me: Hi, I purchased this chain last week, it arrived today and it is not passing the 22k gold acid test. Gold Palace: Sir, we have been in business since 1980(1980 something, I forgot the exact year), we have millions of happy customers. I see that the chain you purchased is only 5.8g, it is not even that much, we can waive the restocking fee. Me: I'd like to know why this chain does not pass the 22k gold acid test. Gold Palace: Our gold comes from the largest gold manufacturers of the world and can only be reliably tested in a laboratory. Do you have any paper from a laboratory that says the purity? Me: I did not take this chain to a laboratory. I used the gold acid test and it is not passing the 22k gold test, it is a standard test that only dissolves gold UNDER a certain purity and will dissolve all other metals it may come into contact with. Again, it is a standard test used throughout the USA and the world. ...at this point, he gets very defensive, does not want to listen to anything I may have to say (I'm not the type to talk over anybody, I will shut up and listen until I can speak). He continues to press me to return without any restocking fee. He will not give me his name, he will not even name the top manufacturer from which they obtain their gold. He also made mention to the fact that I only purchased a 5.8g item multiple times with the implication that I "should have bought more". It is not his or anybody's business why I am buying this, I should receive what is advertised, that is all 5.8g at 22k purity. This was a gift for my newborn niece. All in all, the entire experience was poor, unprofessional, my first, and last. In short, I'm not going to bother returning the chain as it was a very small purchase and still passes the 18k test. So, the difference in gold will be fairly small. Please learn from my experience and try a different store but remember to ALWAYS TEST YOUR GOLD regardless of where it is purchased.   So I travelled from New York to NJ to purchase a gold chain from this establishment with my friend, and was very disappointed with the treatment I received. The owner clearly couldn’t see beyond racial lines, he asked his staff in Hindi “who let us in”, and they responded “it was the FedEx guy”. This wowed me as I thought to myself, so this guy never wanted us in here. The Chain I wanted to buy was falsely advertised on the website. I’m not writing this to ruin this mans business, just making people aware of my experience at this establishment, which is very racist and shouldn’t be allowed to exist in our society.

  I am disappointed, I love 22kt gold and it is hard to find where I live. I bought a pair of earrings from them to wear for my wedding which was 2 months away. I never wore them before that. In just hours, beads from the earings just fell apart. It was outside of their return or even exchange policy. So it was a big waste of money and I couldn't even pick a new pair.

  I have shopped at various nearby establishments, but Gold Palace is my favorite choice. They consistently have good prices and a nice selection of items. The staff is friendly and helpful and it is nice to be remembered by name when I walk in wanting to look for a particular jewelry piece.

  This place a gem! Really...so very helpful and what beautiful pieces. And such reasonable prices that when you shop in 7 or more other stores close by you find yourself returning for they had the right price. We bought such beautiful earrings to replace ones my wife has lost. Take you time as they are patient and kind.
