  Gitler& is a great local gallery in Harlem with the owner being a Washington Heights native! This small gallery rotates exhibits often and shows a diverse array of work from artists of every background. As a Harlem native and CCNY student I had a very positive internship experience working directly with the owner, Avi Gitler. Aside from selling interesting works of art the gallery is very involved in community works and providing a welcoming environment to all visitors. I would highly recommend attending their exhibition openings as there are always refreshments, as well as great restaurants down the block.

  They have really nice artwork that they regularly change it seems like every week. If I had money I would definitely buy what they had up for viewing. Really amazing artwork from a variety of different artists and talent. I lived in Hamilton Heights and it's great to see something like this come to the neighborhood. It really brightens it up. They also did artwork on the gates of every store in the neighborhood which is really pretty. I no longer have to stare at the terrible scribbles of "taggers" who just graffiti they tag. Now we have beautiful art. Cheers guys!
