::Simple memorial with many magnolias that bloosom just before the more famous Yoshino cherry trees nearby. About the time of the magnolias there are some very beautiful weeping cherry trees and larger cherry trees next to the Potomac

::I hope they finish etching the stone soon! That's why there is blue tape and a plastic drop sheet

::Very easy to miss/forget with the other giant memorials in the DC area. The is a really well done memorial it is one of my favorites. I will say it does tend to be neglected a bit with broken dirty benches, untrimmed hedges, and a sort of raggity feel. It does not feel up to par with the other national monuments in the area which is why I recommend everyone to go show support for the nice little park. It does have it's upsides if you were one of the people like me who walked everywhere it is a great place to stop and rest and admire the DC area from afar. Before making your way back to the mall area. Overall I would recommend you make your way here but make sure you stop to see the Jefferson on the way.

::Poor George Mason. So many other big and beautiful memorials in the area and his is small and easy to miss. Not very well maintained as I was tripping over loose stonework.

::Often forgotten but really well done memorial. Really upsetting to see an empty dirty fountain.
