  I came to GCPD based on the strong recommendation of a neighbor after we arrived newly into our neighborhood. With two kids of our own and plenty of dentists in their history, we are delighted to have finally found Dr. Markos. He is terrific with the children, communicative with us as parents, and efficient in his service. A+

  Dr Markos is great, we travel over an hour to the office because he was recommended so highly, and I see why. My son, who has high anxiety, loves going, and tells everyone his dentist doesn't use shots (he never felt them). My only complaint is the front desk. Two of our appointments in a row were not in the schedule when we arrived, I had the appointment cards, and luckily we were still seen after such a long trip, but it's upsetting to arrive and have them tell you you're not scheduled.

  My children have been going to Dr. Markos for a couple of years. His office is very kid-friendly (video games up front while waiting - though the wait is never long - we always seem to get called in only a few minutes after arriving; movies play to distract the kids from the process; fun jungle theme through the space). Dr. Markos is great with getting the children comfortable with what they will be experiencing, using language that is easy for young children to understand. He also sings-songs to make it fun/calming for those young kids. From a parent-perspective, I've always found him ready and willing to explain his recommendations and knowledgeable about the reasoning behind his recommendations. I appreciate that he isn't pushing tons of procedures that aren't necessary (example: my child needed a cavity filled and he avoided using novicaine and was able to use just laughing gas. Obviously, if it had been a worse cavity, he would have used more, but I appreciated that he took a less is more approach and monitored to see if anything else was necessary).
