  I had 4 of my very complex Indian wedding outfits altered by Gegi! She was very quick with the turnaround of very complex work!

  I came to Gegi when I needed alterations for my wedding dress. She met with me approximately 4-5 times until everything was just right and the dress looked perfect! Not only did Gegi clearly have the experience required to effectively make the dress fit seamlessly, but she also went above and beyond to make sure I felt as comfortable in it as possible. For example, the lace on my straps was making my skin a little irritated, and right away away Gegi looked in her back room for the perfect shade of lining that she could sew on the inside of the straps! She also took it upon herself to provide me with ample dress tape for my big day, otherwise it would have been one more errand I had to run with everything else I had going on :) When my bridesmaids needed alterations for their dresses, I sent them straight to Gegi. They ALL said that Gegi was able to do EXACTLY what they were wanting. What more could you ask for? Well, one more quality that sets Gegi apart from other tailors is that she has an eye for what does and doesn't look good on one's particular body and with their distinct features. Coming from someone like myself who doesn't always know how clothes are "supposed" to fit/look, this was something I really valued and appreciated. If ever I need tailoring in the future, Gegi is without a doubt who I will go to. It's also nice to know she does couture if I ever want a garment to be custom made!

  I first met Gegi when she was a tailor at Sofio's in Tyson's. I was impressed by her mastery and professionalism in handling my alterations from suits to formal gowns. I was thrilled to discover that she has started her own business in McLean. Gegi is professional, highly skilled, and an expert at her craft. The last time I went to get a pair of pants altered, she suggested that I also hem the side of the pant and offered to do it while I waited. And while I waited, I watched as Gegi assisted a bride with alterations on her bridal gown. She is pricey, but the quality of her work is excellent and well worth the cost.
