  Historic district of Minneapolis. I wish that there was more evidence of what used to be at this location. For instance the first Minneapolis City Hall used to be at the junction of Hennepin and Nicollet. About all that remains of the old park is the George Washington Memorial flagpole given by the DAR. Everything else about the area has been swept under the carpet and ignored when this area was completely razed in the the early 1960's under the guise of urban renewal.
