  Yuyuan garden is generally busy for a reason, its central, it's cheap and has a lot going on. The shops around sell souvenirs and snacks, the buildings and gardens are very picturesque. Once you pay the 30yuan entry fee to get inside the actual gardens the crowds ease up a bit but can still be very busy. Good place to.
