  Amazing food for a reasonable price, great drinks and happy hour, wonderful atmosphere and music. 63/10 would highly recommend.

  We came for Cinco de Mayo and of course the staff was very busy. They have a decent happy hour dollar off street tacos from three to six daily which was very very nice. Very modern and has ample outdoor seating as well. Some of the better tacos in Phoenix

  I have a conundrum: I want to let people know how incredible this place is but I don’t want EVERYONE to know because then it won’t be so easy to get a table on Saturday night. I tend to be a pretty critical person. Just ask my girlfriend. She gets sick of hearing me criticize everything. That being said, Gallo Blanco is without fault. The food is impeccably prepared, portions aren’t huge but they’re great for one person with no leftovers. On the flip side, you’re also not paying $20 a plate, so that’s cool too. The atmosphere is charming and while they’re always at capacity when I’m there, nothing feels hectic or raucous about the place. Great for date night or a family gathering. The cocktails are sublime. The service is stellar. It feels like a neighborhood restaurant: grounded, personal, and fun. If you’re looking for elevated Mexican food without the pretentiousness, go here (and get the elote). If more Phoenix restaurants were like Gallo Blanco, the world would be a better place.

  Went on a Thursday night around 8 pm. Was not busy at all and staff was accommodating for a party of 7. Had super high hopes and was building it up for my family from out of town as I remember the original GB as being my favorite place to go before leaving town. Food was not as good as the original. To top it off, 4 of the dishes we received were luke warm and not hot. The house salsas and the guacamole were amazing and my dad devoured the half chicken dish and step mom loved the veggie pozole. The virgin bloody Mary’s were too limey and the regular Bloody Mary not at all like the original (it is/was my favorite Bloody Mary). Not exactly sure what happened, but they got our drink orders mixed up with who ordered what and brought out extra of every drink. Service was good and friendly although at times felt as though the staff was short handed. Long story short I am not going back and will not be recommending to any of my friends for dinner. On a plus note, it is a great atmosphere and I’m sure would be awesome just for drinks and snacks during happy hour

  This is not a review of their food since I did not eat here but more on their service and my experience. I went here with some friends for some drinks. We sat at the bar. The drink I got was not good. It was basically just grapefruit juice I was drinking, instead of vodka and grapefruit. I paid on my card and and tipped the bartender in cash. I get my receipt in my email and the bartender added his own tip to my card! I know I did not add a tip to the card because I tip cash. This is never okay for someone who works at a restaurant to do some fraudulent shady stuff like this. I won’t be returning to this place because they lost my trust.
