Carlos is a nice guy, but I brought in my car and paid $1,000 cash to fix a minor issue I had, when i went to pick up it wasnt fixed and he still had to tweak with it while i waited an hr, (i left the car there for 2 weeks to fix a coolant and oil leak), said i needed to buy a new radiator (over priced by $100 upsale) istalled it and not a week later the same problems are presisting leaking oil (replaced housing gasket) and coolant also having more problems now after it was supposedly "fixed" my fan cluch is acting up wich is probably due to poor reinstilation after replacing the radiator.. i would NOT recommend Galaxy Motors for more serious engine work especially if you have an import car bmw/mercedes/audi/porche/farrari/or anything expensive. Better to take it to a european automotive specialist pay the extra instead of paying for work twice. Very upset $1,000 out of pocket with the same problems i took the car in with :(

I discovered this gem in Bushwick, by word of mouth. I still read the reviews and was even more encouraged to go there. After dealing with shyster mechanics and thieves, I was so relieved to finally find my permanent shop. All I needed was an inspection test to be done. Carlos fit me in as he had several other cars there. He informed me that I needed new front shocks and my ball joints needed to be replaced, which explained the creaking noise I was driving around with. He quoted me a reasonable price and was done the next day inspection and all. It turns out one of the bolts holding one of the shocks had snapped some time ago and he had a very hard time removing it, but he and his crew got it done at no extra cost. My car drives like a dream now. This is a family run place and they are very courteous and helpful. I recommend this place to everyone. They don't try to up sell and will accommodate you with pricing, offering prices from inexpensive parts to higher priced parts. They will also suggest the best quality for your situation.
