::I will not be returning to the Bloomington location - a dirty, run down store with extremely rude staff. I've frequented both the Apple Valley and Bloomington location for some time and was pleased to see that Bloomington finally had several of the smaller shopping carts that Apply Valley has had for a while now (vs. the vastly oversized, half broken shopping carts that take up a whole isle). Since you are forced to use the self check-out the dump truck size shopping carts barely fit in the newly installed stations making the smaller carts much more practical. When reaching to use one of several that were sitting right next to the cart return an unpleasant woman working (standing around) at the front of the store yelled over from the self check-out that I "cannot use the carts and they are in use by staff" even though not a sole was around nor were any carts actually in use. I was rather taken back by her rudeness and she proceeded to argue with me that the carts cannot be used even though they are all sitting empty and my groceries nearly falling out of my hands. One would think she would offer to go get me some other cart but instead she continued to go round and round that the carts can't be used. Alternatively, she could actually open one of the check-out lanes since not a single one was open and make herself useful vs. acting as the cart police. After briefly wandering the store without a cart and observing multiple expired food items it was clear that it is time to shop a different grocery store. On a positive note, the gentleman working at the deli counter was very friendly but unfortunately the unpleasant individual working the front end deters me from ever shopping here again.

::This store replaced all but two lanes with self-checkout and normally has only one cashier working. I've also noticed their milk goes bad in my fridge before the expiration date, while milk from other grocery stores is just fine.

::I will never go to this store again. Fruits and vegetables are always old, impossible to find anything fresh. Dairy products are often expired. Plus to that I was accused in stilling oranges at self checkout. What a terrible experience to buy groceries.

::I love this store. Since it is smaller it is easier for short runs when you need just a few things. I appreciate the unique items I find there and their meat department is fantastic.

::Very conveniently located and the best part is their underground parking area which is so nice in the frigid MN winters. The place has a fairly good variety of baked goods, cheeses, hummus and desserts as you enter. Prices seem lower than whole foods market. Salad bar is quiet ok. You could create your own pizza or sandwich and eat at the small area right after the cash counters. Produce is good quality with both organic and non organic options. If you are going there lunch time to grab a quick bite, you might be disappointed with the wait time at the cash counters as generally they only have two open.
