  I was on the wait list for 3 years, but have a plot now! It's great being able to plant what I want: tomatoes, artichokes, peppers, and squash this year. The people are friendly and know their stuff about local gardening problems. There are a number of rules regarding plot maintenance (quarterly inspections), contributing toward community property maintenance (work day once a month), and only using organic fertilizers (compost provided) and mulch, but they are reasonable, and I don't mind the structure. Plus, you can use the shared shed of tools, so it will cost you only the annual fee of $10-15 to grow as many veggies or flowers you can fit in your 10x10 or 20x10 plot!
