::The food here is always SO good. The freshness and top notch quality always come through. It is the definition of comfort food, good for the soul. The service is always great as well.

::I've been to Fran's a half dozen times and have loved it; this visit, not so much. Menu had nothing that especially called out to me. Food was pretty good (kale salad, chicken salad) but not memorable. Service competent, knowledgeable, and expedient but brusque -- borderline ride. Fran's seems to have lost its early anxiousness to please, or maybe just having a bad day.

::Great food in a cozy atmosphere. I had to the meatballs which were amazing. The only issue we had was that my wife, who is pregnant, asked for her salmon to be well done, but when it came out it was more medium. Fran herself came out and apologized, made her a completely new order, and didn't charge us. This kind of personal touch does not happen at many restaurants in Charlotte, and we greatly appreciated it. We will definitely be back.

::Never again. Had reservations. 2 hours for dinner due to slowness of server and kitchen. Plates brought out to the 9 of us 1 or 2 at a time. 11 minutes to get all 9 plates on the table so we ate in shifts. IPA's on tap ordered and amber ale delivered. Food was so so and not worth the prices. Server inserted herself 3 times into our conversation even poking fun at something one family member was talking about. Never had that happen before. It was just not a good experience for any of us. The total bill with tip was $285. Sad. I should have read the reviews on here first.

::Fun spot for restaurant week! Cute atmosphere once you get inside. Waffled cornbread and ribboned kale salad as apps, lamb burger and veggie burger for entrees- fries were top notch, then finished up with chocolate cake and cobbler. Peach and blueberry is what's in season right now. All enjoyable. More than we usually spend on a meal... It was all good, but not sure we'd return with the price tags on the normal menu.
