Clean. Quiet. Uncrowded. A nice riverside path to walk along from the subway station to the southern tip of the island about a mile away. Watch out for the goose and duck poop.

Fantastic place for a quick getaway from the crowd. Nice environment to stroll through nice green trees. Parking is expensive and you'll surely get it. So have a nice evening.

Beautiful Park with great views of the East River! You can actually stands where FDR proposed the idea of the United Nations and look across the East River and see it there. You can also see the new World Trade Center and the Empire State building. It was a gorgeous day when we went. The ruins of the Small Pox hospital were also very interesting! Take the sky team across and get a great view!

Peaceful and scenic. This is a great local get away spot and only one stop from Manhattan. Take the tram for a nice aerial view of NYC. If you walk along the west side of island heading north, you will see a few Tom Otterness sculptures in the water. The Cornell Technology campus is also on the island. Stunning modern architecture and there is a nice Cafe too.

The park is kept extremely clean, there was no litter at all! But beware of the geese, and the geese poop that cover some sections of the path and large sections of grassy areas. The views on both sides of the island are amazing! If you come in early 2018, you can still see the awesome smallpox hospital ruins from 1800s, before it's rebuilt into a memorial building! Nature, history, and a sea breeze just a sky tram ride away! If you come in winter, it's very chilly especially with wind.
