::The Foundry is a casual yet somewhat upscale place, with great (though pricy) food and a fantastic beer list. Staff is friendly, polite and usually engaging. Walk-in groups are usually easily accommodated. This is definitely one of the better restaurants in Davis for a great beer and great food.

::Great place for an after work drink. Beautiful interior. Wait staff are some times lacking. Food is solid and creative. Prices are high for the area.

::I've had hit or miss experiences at the Foundry. Their menu tends to read as quite fancy, but the execution is often less balanced or nuanced than one would expect for the price. I've also had a very bad waiter there (not a bad person, but just clearly not an experienced or skilled server in any way. every interaction was socially awkward.) The atmosphere is nice. I wouldn't avoid the place, but I wouldn't go in expecting to be wowed either.

::Awesome food and nightlife. One of the best burgers I've ever had. Perfect eats before a show at the Somerville theatre.

::The music was rather too loud, but that seems to be the going trend in restaurants these days, and we were seated beside a speaker, so that's that, I suppose. But the food was excellent, the drink choice impressive, and the staff very capable.
