::Visited the FW VA this morning for the first time and was very impressed by the facility and staff. I arrived in the parking lot at 8:20am today (Tuesday) and was walking back to my truck at 8:45am !!! Can't get that kind of service at any Doctor's office or clinic.

::This was my first time at this specific location. The doctor I saw was very personable and professional and spent a decent amount of time asking me questions in making an evaluation of my condition. I went to the first appointment available and found that the handicap parking spots were open and available. Personnel walking through the facility early in the morning spoke and greeted me as I walk past...they were friendly and cordial. The facility appears to be new and very clean. The entrances are marked very well and feature automatic doors to get in without having an issue. There is a place to eat inside, a small snack store inside, and some small vendors selling military type stuff and hats.

::It’s a mixed bag in terms of quality of service. Some medical services are impressive while others are dreadful. Appointment scheduling is absolutely archaic and no one ever answers the phone.

::This place is an embarrassment to all vets. Today after waiting 12 minutes and 36 seconds on the phone just to ask if the counselors we're available today to give me a compensation letter a female operator answered grudgingly only to transfer me to a benefits office recording at the Dallas VA. I called Ft Worth VA! I called back only to wait on the phone another 5 minutes only to be disconnecte, twice! These people have no desire to actually help vets. They are only there to take jobs that should be for actual vets and collect pay checks every 2 weeks for minimal work. Two weeks ago I drove 20+ minutes to the Ft Worth VA to get a benefits letter and speak with a counselor. The tiny lobby had 3-4 people in it and the couslorcwalked out with an attitude telling me to read the signs and I wouldn't be seen that day. I went back on Good Friday and the hospital was open but no one was in that office. Today no one will even transfer me to the correct office. This place is a joke!!!! Let's see how many times I have to call for someone to answer the phone. I'll try contact Patient Advocate now because it's obvious they have no intentions on working. ...Shaking my head. When asked for the number to a benefits counselor I was transferred to a desk where a woman couldn't answer any of my questions and just told me to come in. She could not verify if the coubscouns were currently there nor verify if they would be in it available the following day. Why is she answering the phone. Why can't the counselors answer or return calls between certain times? Poor service. Train and hire Vets to help vets.

::I went to this clinic for the first time today. The young lady, Crystal, at the front desk was very helpful and polite and professional. She directed me back to the Omni center to schedule an appointment and the lady there was also very nice and and helpful and walked me through the process of getting registered. Then she gave me directions on where to go to next, which was the lab, and by the time I walked over to the lab they had my information, and were expecting me. I took a number and walked to the front desk there at the lab, and the lady behind the desk was very nice and polite and told me it would be probably an hour before my number was called. There were probably 30 other people in line ahead of me but the wait was only about 45 minutes, and I believe one of the ladies I spoke with said that Tuesday is their busiest day in the lab. They said my doctor appointment would be in about three hours so I went home for little while. The facility is very brightly lit with approximately 100 or so handicap parking spots up front, more than I have ever seen anywhere else, and it is very clean. They have lots of handicapped friendly restrooms on both floors there are two floors. There is also a nice little restaurant in the middle of the building on the first floor that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and snacks can be found in a couple of different smaller stores in different parts of the building, where they also sell souvenirs and ball caps and things like that.
