  Scene of Revolutionary war battle for the control of the Hudson River. You can tour the remains of the fortification as well as follow the path of soldiers during the war. Enter the museum to learn about how important this military post this was. See artifacts, weapons and a movie. There is also a great view of the Bear Mountain Bridge and the Hudson River

  Amazing place! The fort is nothing special but it is right next to an outdoor measum detailing the trees, wetlands, animals and the impact of each on the environment/life. In addition to having a small exhibit of frogs, toads, snakes, newts, etc. Several caged animals include a bobcat, foxes, coyotes (all were once injured or cannot fend for themselves in the wild so are kept captive). Must visit!

  Pre-season hike near Fort Montgomery. Trails have many trees down across path but otherwise they are well maintained. Popolopen to Long Path had some nice water views... Creek, large ponds.

  Beautiful historic place! Great place to take a walk with family over the Popolone Creek
