Vegans rejoice! This place is packed with tons of non meat options and frozen goods, and probably one of the most diverse too. It's also the only place I found quinoa burgers, not even Whole Foods carries them anymore, so I'm happy that I discovered this place.

There are two markets on the block which is between the subway and my place. This is the larger of the two. What impresses me about both places is that the people serving you are really happy and a pleasure to deal with, not surly and miserable. It shows - I actually enjoy going to get food and talking to these humans. Radical, I know! Good organics, veggies, vitamins and coffee selection but I wish they had a better bread selection. High marks.

I liked their beer selection and their pre-prepared deli offerings. They promintely advertised foods that were anti-GMO. I ended up being the recipient of a shouting match with a cashier trying to justify his profits at the expense of African starvation.

Some problems with produce freshness, but as long as you are careful about what you buy it's fine. Good selection of vegan and specialty diet items, natural hygiene products etc. No normal meat/fish section.

This place just opened a month or two ago and immediately it was better than all the bodegas around this area. Their selection is better, on par in prices, and fresher. The people there are super friendly. Also, they tend to mark down prices (due most likely to an adjustment period for demand) on items so if you're not really a bulk shopper, you'll see these deals the more often you go. They have a decent beer selection, and they have a bar of refrigerated food that was made that day.
