Beautiful church, beautiful people. Don't be prepared for a baptist service christian science is very different. Also the other reviewers have no clue what they are talking about. The one who says christ was not a scientist is right. Christian science never claims christ was. He obviously has never spoken to a christian scientist. As for the other man who felt the service wasn't good because of the readers. Every christian science church in the world is reading the same thing every Sunday, the reason we have readers is so the sermon is not contaminated by one person's opinion. If Christian Science is not for you that is fine but to not give the church a bad rating because you had no clue what you were going too before hand.

A beautiful structure. The interior radiant with golden light. The ushers very welcoming. Unfortunate condescending service style! The entire Sunday service was prewritten and it was read by two lecturers a left and right podium. The bulk of what was read was long passages from the King James Bible and Keys to the Scriptures by Mary Eddy Baker. Anyone who has a mind of their own or who is seeking something spiritual will feel this is spiritually frozen and intellectually condescending. The music was reminiscent of 1920's Episcopal organ hymns. Nothing uplifting or spiritual about the music and very few people sang along. There were about 35 people in a space that could seat 300 comfortably. The two senior gentlemen in front of me were texting the majority of the service. Unless you are going for the architecture, save carbon emissions and read these two books to yourself at home- they are both free on itunes and amazon books. Nothing living or new to experience here. Median age of worshipers was 60.
