Excellent quality pastries priced competitively. On several occasions I had passed by this Grand Central Terminal site while on my way to the Grand Central Terminal; always wandering about the quality of the parties but never stopping to try them. I finally did and to my surprise... well as I mentioned above the quality and freshness left nothing to be desired. Despite the fact that the store is small and always busy it is always spotless and you never seem to wait to be served. Loved the bread pudding and the Fruit Diplomat.

Great pastries, dishonest manager who switched the price label on a cake after it was rung up to match what I had been charged. What's so pathetic is that the difference was a measly $2. But the impact on my perception of this place was huge. Too bad. Lesson in hiring the right people, or not.

Even as all these fancy bakeries pop up with their versions of the Macarons, Financier's macarons are still at very high up, if not at the top of my list. I tried out their other patries as well and they were all pretty amazing. Not sure why the staff here is getting a bad rep.

I was in this shop this morning to get an array of pastries for an office birthday party. There were 4 people there, but the young lady that attended to me had a very unpleasant attitude. When I pointed to what I wanted, she grabbed the wrong pastry, I said "sorry, I want the one next to that. She became irate and threw the wrong pastry back in the shelf and grabbed the one I wanted. She threw it in the box. Then she said "what else?" very loudly and angry. I said starting from the left bottom shelf, I want one of each. She yelled angrily, " I can't see what you are pointing to" and didn't even attempt to bend or look down, and proceeded yelling multiple times "what is the name?" Excuse me, if I don't know the name of every pastry in your shop, but it is called customer service. She then threw the pastries in the box, and as I was asking for two plain croissants, and repeated several times, "a couple of croissants, 2, please," she proceeded to lecture me that she didn't know what a couple meant, completely ignoring that I had repeated "2", in a very angry tone and at that point I said to her it was not necessary to continue to lecture me on her lack of understanding of a couple. She threw everything in the box and handed it over. I paid and left the store. I can see if I had come in with an attitude and even if that were the case, employees should not come in to a place of work and go on tirades with customers for no reason. It is usually supposed to be the other way around. The pastries may be good, but the employees are awful and poorly trained. The worst part is when I got to the office to set up the pastries, they were all crushed and torn in the box, as if she had crumpled them in her hands. The sad part is that the person I was buying these pastries for LOVES Financier since the first shop opened downtown and even ordered her wedding cake from that shop. So my morning, which was bright and sunny turned ugly because of a person who clearly is miserable with the world. I don't think I will be visiting this particular shop again.

I was there to get you on a subway and I saw these amazing pastries! So I stoped in. There were 4 people but only 1 person was doing anything, 3 were talking to eachother. After patiently waiting while the girl moved large boxes and other things that I’m sure aren’t supposed to be on the bakery counter I said excuse me and let her know what I would like to order. She continued doing what she was working on and then rudely asked that I step down when she hadn’t even begun boxing my request. I let her know her attitude ruined my appetite. I missed out on cake, you missed out on $$$ this was 1.28.17 ~6pm
