  DELICIOUS!! Had dinner here while visiting my daughter and her family recently and thoroughly enjoyed my shrimp and grits. My wife's fried catfish was fantastic and the atmosphere was laid back and casual. The service was excellent as well!

  The food is always sooooo good! The service is timely, the food is nice and warm when served, and the portions are very generous, even their coffee is great. The serving staff is very friendly and remembers what you normally order. Then there is the music, FANTASTIC, for those of us who were born and/or grew up here, it has that "just like home vibe, I find myself reminiscing while eating my grits, of the great moments and experiences that I had with the community that I loved and they loved me back, we need more places like this one, as Jimi might say, "are you experienced", if so then you would know, because that is what they provide, a really nice ambiance and dining experience that is affordable!. I wish they were open on Mondays, but so glad that they are in the CD, and keeping it soulful and real! Perfection and Excellence with a smile! One Happy Patron!

  This is a great place for chicken & waffles. The breading on the chicken is perfect (I get the chicken breast). It's not too heavy, but it's crisp and flavorful. The chicken is juicy and perfectly cooked. The waffles though are just average.... I prefer the Belgian style, so maybe it's that. They go great with the chicken though, and it's really about the chicken (which is basically perfect), so this is a minor point for me. The sides here are AMAZING. I loved the deep fried mushrooms and fried green tomatoes, but the red beans and rice were SO GOOD. Last time I was here they forgot to put in the appetizer order, but the server was apologetic and gave us a bit off the bill. Mistakes happens and they made the effort to right it (plus we were full and happy). Their drinks are decent, but just an OK value at regular prices (good deal w/ happy hour though). I'd recommend this place to anyone.

  A very cool place to find southern classics. You can't go wrong with the Chicken and Waffles but everything on the menu looks great. Need to go more so I can try them all. The service was great even when they were really busy and the staff was great all around.

  At Fat's, you can't go wrong. Every meal and side dish on the menu is top notch. The fried green tomatoes, bacon, cornbread, biscuits, chicken, and potatoes have been the highlight items for me. Friendly staff - they've helped my friends pick out flexible meals based on dietary restriction and can help suggest based on your preferences. Highly recommend - one of best breakfasts in Seattle.
