Decent price for food ($9.50 for chicken strips and chips and $11.50 for burger and chips). Food was ok. Website said menu items were moderately priced between $6-$11, but they were definitely on the higher end of that scale. Took longer than expected to get food and not a ton of seating. Not a lot of menu options, but could have been worse.

I had the roasted chicken sandwich. It was extremely bland and way over priced. The chicken had no flavor and I couldn't taste any of the garlic mayonnaise spread. I wouldn't be willing to try anything their again.

I was on the Midway in 1965. Rode it in to Hunter's Point dry dock in San Francisco Bay. I'm fond of that experience so I might be a little biased, but. Fantail Cafe food was flavorful and portions were good for the price. Tables are a bit crowded by the order and pick up windows but there's plenty of seating on the aircraft elevator just a few feet away. And the view from there is spectacular. My wife and I have been there twice. We rode the California Surf Liner from San Juan Capistrano. Santa Fe Station is only about 600 feet from the ship. We're going again in July and we are not bringing a lunch with us. The food on board is better than some restaurants I've dined at. True, there's no Sommelier bringing up Chateau De La Bilge from the cellar or waiters flapping napkins in your face and grinding pepper from a 3 foot long twister, but the food is quite good, people quite friendly and helpful, and there's plenty of things to see from the flight deck down to the engine room.I and my wife have no complaints about the food or the experience.
