I went to this new Family Dollar today for the first time with the intention of buying some basic essentials. While walking through the aisles to find items I noticed I was being followed, and I walk pretty fast. I told my sister who was with me that I think this guy was following me, I made sure I was loud enough for him to hear me. When my sister asked if him (Terrance the assistant manager) if he was following us he said yes because I have my bag on and on and last time I was in there I got an attitude when I wast told to leave it up front. I let him know that it was our first time there and he immediately got aggressive and went on saying how he was just doing his job and he didn't care. I had a panic attack and left the store in tears. We left our cart there with all the merchandise still in it. I was upset because I was racially profiled, I would have had no problem leaving the bag up front . I was trying to support my community and it saddens me that I had to go through this. I truly hope they get a more professional staff that "dont assume" I look like someone else. Its a really scary and uncomfortable feeling being followed so intensely. I will never go back to this location. We tried to call to rectify the problem and we got Terrance on the phone yelling at us and telling us that it is what he was trained to do and asking if he could move in and live with us if he lost his job. He also hung up on my sister which was very rude and unprofessional to say the least. Very disappointed and still shaken up.

Unprofessional! My sister and I went to visit this location for the first time. The entire time we were shopping the assistant store manager Terrence followed my sister assuming she was a customer he previously had a issue with. When we addressed him he turned completely irrational.. saying we were attempting to shop lift. Our experience was so uncomfortable we left all our items and went to the family dollar up the road.
