  One of the WORST customer service experiences I have encountered. The owner needs an attitude adjustment. The food wasn't even good, the chicken was very dry, and the fries were even just like the frozen ones you can buy at Walmart.

  Absolutely terrible experience! If I could rate it a minus 5 stars I would! The mac n cheese had a black hair in it and the girl at the counter seemed not concerned at all. I told her I wasn't eating that and she finally "offered" (after I was Insistant) to take the chicken off the plate and swap out the mac n cheese instead of changing the entire plate?!? On our other plate, the tilapia was burnt and they served it to me anyways. I wasted $42 here for terrible food! The girl at the counter said she was the daughter of the owner and that the guy in back cooking the food was her brother. Beware-zero customer service here and food was terrible and unhygienic. There are way better soul food restaurants in the valley. Don't waste one penny here at this unsanitary and no customer service place.

  Came here because the reviews were great, but found out how misleading they were soon after. I ordered a 2pc. catfish dinner with two sides -- the greens were beyond bland and under-seasoned. The mac n cheese was absolutely devastating -- the cheese tasted of Great Value quality and had way too much pepper. The fish was great and was actually the only thing I finished off of the 12$ plate. Soul food? I don't know.....

  The location is perfect, decor is beautiful and the food was amazing! They even had a DJ playing music next to the bar, great place to grab brunch on a Sunday.

  At first glance I didn't really know what to think because of the nondescript look of the exterior. So I thought hey, let's see what's inside. Once I figured out what I wanted and ordered the wait was about 15 minutes (since all the proteins are cooked to order). I ordered to go so once I got home and started eating I realized that this was probably the best fried chicken I've ever had. The sides were pretty good as well that included mac & cheese and the fries. Overall it was a great experience and I will be going back in the future.
