WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! "Dr." Michael Schottman should not be licensed to work in any type of role where customer service and "bedside manner" is needed. I had an exam last week and told him that all I was wanting was a contact exam because with my glasses, I have perfect vision. Not only did he write a prescription for glasses that is lower and completely incorrect, it wasn't even close to the script I have now. I told him I was looking for affordable contact lenses and that all I wanted was to be able to see clearly. He only talked about Acuvue which I'm sure there is some sort of contract he has with them. He only suggested dailies which are the most expensive lenses by almost quadruple. I made a follow up appointment because the lenses were so low that I couldn't even read my computer two feet away from my face. Driving was even more dangerous and wasn't even dark outside. I told him my concerns with the blurry vision and the cost and he returns to the exam room with a new pay of DAILIES that were even lower than before! Not only that, they were even more expensive!!!!!!! He was rude, inconsiderate, made me feel like an idiot for asking for a higher script so that I could see. I will NEVER return here. I am trying to get my money back for their Eyesight Club which is for yearly exams. There is no way I will EVER step food inside of this location again.

If I were being nice I would say the little optometrist man has some kind of disorder you'll find in the DSM-5 that causes him to avoid eye contact, "appear" antisocial, and say rude things to patients. Worse than rude, and I am not feeling nice, he made my sweet, shy child feel uncomfortable. This Napolean complex-having doctor has negative bedside manner. Not zero bedside manner, negative. Like Penniwise doing your exam. That's my point. For the sake of time I will skip the part about my special eyes and special contacts, etc. because the girl was pretty new. She gets 1 benefit of the doubt, and only 1. Google is your friend, Sis. Use it. If you don't know something, ask or research that sh**. Feel me? Dr Napoleon was rude from the second he walked into the room. Give me a chance to make you mad first, will you? Better still, have a less horrid personality. You're attempting to condescend to a queen of condescension. No, you may not. Based on the grammar and spelling of these awesome reviews, I can guess these people are the target demographic. I work for a certain kind of company which makes me akin to....one of the circles in Hell kind of nightmare for doctors who try to hustle a patient. And these people are salesmen first, make no mistake. Hey, EGW fills a void for people, customers, who have the simplest vision needs and I guarantee most have not the foggiest idea what their insurance benefits even mean. If they have insurance. All of this is common today. If you love this place, keep going. Far be it for me to say this place it ripping you off. But If you have insurance, for the love of everything good CALL YOUR VISION INSURER, WRITE DOWN YOUR BENEFITS, AND ASK QUESTIONS of the doctors, the people selling you extra services. Do your research. It is YOUR health. It is YOUR money. Sometimes less money does actually mean lower quality.
