So. You will wait in line for awhile, maybe even an hour. But be prepared for heaven. It is so totally worth it. I am in love. Good coffee. Great desserts. It's a must visit while in San Diego. I ordered a Birthday cake for my sister last year. With the flowers and gold leaf. It was by no means not a splurge. But it's so good. Omg. Nothing I've tried here is bad. The counter setup is odd. The building at Balboa location needs to be reconfigured for better flow for ordering and seating. It makes no sense. It would speed ordering too. But the taste will always have you company back for more. And they are open until 12am.

My wife has had a craving to come here for ages so we did so today with our daughter. The glass display cabinet was full of extremely tempting looking cakes and more than a few dessert gourmets were pigging out on luscious chocolaty creations. We ordered a couple of cappuccinos and 3 different desserts. The large cake servings looked amazing and tasted good......though not as good as they looked but still good.I am lucky my wife is a fantastic cook so we probably won't be back in a hurry. It's a shame there were no cheese cakes on display.

We stopped in here for some dessert the other day. There is usually a line of customers out the door and there was when we arrived. My wife bought a delectable looking slice of Chocolate Dulce De Leche cake and a huge chocolate cupcake for our little grand daughter. This location only does cakes and coffees ...no sandwiches like the Little Italy store. My wife thought her cake tasted pretty good...I thought so too.

The name is accurate - they always have an extraordinary selection of deserts to choose from. We’ve always been more then pleased. These are desserts you will NOT easily find anywhere else. They have indoor and outdoor seating. My only complaints are 1) a little overpriced and 2) they don’t do a good job of keeping the tables clean.

Deserts are good, so it gets a 4. Worth the hype? I'm not sure. Worth the line? Only once. Beautifully decorated items with gold flakes and roses in February likely because of Valentine's day. But was the flavor worth the sugar and butter? This jury's out....
