::Excellent service and facility! We rented a unit here for a work project and the staff and facility has been nothing but excellent with all of our needs. The team is very helpful and worked with us each step of the way. Access is quick and easy; they have carts there for your use. The entire space, even the customer bathroom, is very clean! I highly recommend this storage facility to anyone.

::Needed a short term storage solution and Extra Space Storage met my needs. I was helped from the start by JD, who is a consummate professional and all-around nice guy. He showed me a unit conveniently on the 1st level and I was able to get a "first month free" deal where I only had to pay a small amount initially and as long as it was empty within 30 days I wouldn't be charged full price. Each time I went to the facility the staff were present, helpful and knowledgeable. The only suggestion I would have is there should be (at least) one outlet somewhere on the each level so tenants can charge their phones if needed. But, excellent experience with Extra Space Storage and I would patronize this establishment again.

::My boss and I came in this morning to do a remote lease for a space in New Jersey and to ask a million questions about our current spaces in Brooklyn. Taryre helped us out and she was wonderful. She answered all of our questions, was super patient and helpful and helped us get to the bottom of some of our billing issues. In general, everyone I've interacted with at Extra Space has always been super helpful but Taryre went above and beyond and deserves a little shout out!

::Buyer beware. Anybody considering renting with Extra Space Storage should know that they may hike your rent significantly (40%+) with little to no notice, even if you've been a loyal customer who pays on time. Story follows. I've been a tenant of Extra Space Storage for going on six months with my rent paid on time each month via credit card based autopay. The facility is nice, but nothing terribly special. However, this month, I found my bill to have been increased by close to 50%, moving from $154 per month to $222 per month. Upon calling the facility, the person on staff was short and rude, stating that "this was my new rate," and that I had been sent a notice by mail that this was my new rate. I never received this notice, and they could not confirm delivery. Eventually, she did offer a credit, since the notice had not been provided - but stated that the rate would continue to be in effect. I asked to be connected to a supervisor, and the only thing that was promised was a return call. I will update this thread if and when I receive it, with more information about how that supervisor attempts to resolve the problem. Setting aside the fact that I never received this notice (problematic in its own right), and that Extra Space Storage has no tracking in order to demonstrate that it was delivered, a rate hike of this magnitude is appalling, especially with so much choice in the neighborhood. I understand that with month to month leases, there may be increases. But a 44% hike? That entirely changes the economics of the rental. With so many storage facilities nearby, I'd like to think that Extra Space would be happy to have my ongoing, stable business. But apparently not. I then reached out to the support team on the Extra Space Storage website. I've included screenshots of that exchange here, where they note that they are incapable of providing any support on billing issues. In short, be very cautious before entering into a contract with this company. This is no way to treat loyal customers, especially when there are so many alternatives in the neighborhood.
