  This is the spot!!! Bring friends, get some wings, get drinks, chat and enjoy the vibes. There's a backyard that I haven't seen but I live 5 min. walk away, so I'mma gonna check out the backyard later this summer. But I really enjoyed the inside. They have shows and events that I want to check out too.

  Essence is a great spot for an older crowd ! on sunday they have the talented Rose Jackson singing I love it .

  Comedy is ok. Chicken was seasoned good but to me wasn't cleaned how I like it clean. It still had that excess stuff which I didn't like. Not for me mostly for middle-aged + people.

  I have been going to Essence for a long time, and it is the last old-school neighborhood bar. I enjoy the Happy Hour most when the drinks are discounted, the food is tasty and I can enjoy the music that I play on the jukebox. Anyone who is seeking a mellow vibe should pass through.
