  The food tastes like grandma’s made with love and care. The atmosphere is welcoming, quirky and fun. The wine is very good. The owner, service, all the nonas, Nona Maria ❤️ are very sweet and caring. This place feels like a magical land on a deserted island. It feels surreal and abstract. It’s all good. Makes me feel welcomed and Nona Maria hugs are worth to go back again!

  My favorite restaurant in New York - everything is handmade by grandmothers! The fact that this place is Michelin rated is an afterthought. Great ambiance, great service, and out of this world food. It is worth coming to Staten Island just to eat here! I will be eager to return!

  I can't praise this restaurant highly enough! I recommend everyone who reads this review to book a table immediately - you will not regret it and experience a very special evening. The concept offers every week changing dishes from all over the world, prepared by a Nonna from the respective country. But the menu also offers enduring house classics. The food was fanatical on both of our visits and was truly prepared with heart. In addition, there is an excellent selection of wines from all around the world. Topping it all off is the excellent service. Very attentive and courteous service made us feel right at home. The whole team really cares that you have a very good time. Thank you for that and see you soon! 🌝 Only cash is accepted, as it is so common in Italy 😉

  Really enjoyed our dining experience, the concept is fantastic, they feature a Nonna from a different country every week. The owners and staff are very friendly, you can really see that they care about the restaurant. Not too expensive either, great time and they gave us free dessert!

  If I could give this place 10 stars I would! Absolutely perfect! But you should know that they are cash only. We got there right before the kitchen closed, and they squeezed us in and made us feel so welcome. Food was incredible. We got the rabbit, and it came with the head and everything! They also serve sheep's head. We love places that are unique, authentic, and that provide a one-of-a-kind experience. We will be coming back!
