::The hogchos are delicious. But the rest of the bbq was disappointing. Good fries, good wings. But a bit pricy for disappointing bbq.

::Eat here. End of story. The owner is a great guy who takes a lot of pride in his food. He does BBQ right. He only makes small amounts. Whereas most other BBQ places serve meat that’s been stored, or over cooked. The downside is, the full menu isn’t always available. But the quality of the food more than makes up for it. I really can’t speak highly enough of Ember. They are really the only BBQ place in California that I go out of my way to go back to. California has very few true BBQ places. Ember is absolutely one of them.

::This BBQ place, owner, staff are top notch. The beans had a good kick and weren't over sweet like most other spots, the cheesy gritty corn was bomb, the jalapeño cheese sausages were on point. The ribs were tender and fresh out of the smoker. We got pulled pork, awesome mushrooms out of the smoker (gourmet vegan!!), and the some of the best buffalo wings I've ever had. Everything is tasty and accessible, has huge influences from Kansas where the chef/owner is from, and from high end kitchens too where he worked. To cap off an already awesome BBQ experience, the banana pudding was the best I ever had. It was less thick, and my chef friend said it was more like a proper high end soufflé or pudding. The caramel was not too hard or chewy. Definitely the type of business, people, and food you should try, support, and repeat.
