  I think it would be fair to rate this place with zero stars, but there´s no option for that. Being Colombian, it´s embarrassing the level of inefficiency that ALL Colombian consulates function at. Nothing works, the web site is full useless clutter full of bureaucratic language that few understand. The phone lines are never answered, and the choices from the numbered menu are few and they only direct you to another menu. This shows what a big mess Colombia still is. Sad.

  The website sucks. You can't register for voted I've been trying this since 2 years ago . The website it never works.

  This is for Colombianas trying to visit Cancun. DO NOT GO TO CANCUN. THE IMMAGRATION OFFICE HELD MY GIRLFRIEND IN THE AIRPORT FOR 26 HOURS . ILLEGALLY!!! THEY TOLD HER THAT I WAS NOT WAITING FOR HER AND THAT SHE WAS THERE FOR PROSTITUTION. DO NOT GO TO THIS COUNTRY!!! SHE WAS INSIDE IN DETENTION JUST LIKE A CRIMINAL AND HELD AGAINST HER WILL. I WAS IN THE AIRPORT AT THE EXIT , TALKING WITH THE POLICE AND IMMIGRATION OFFICIALS FOR 5 HOURS. THEY TOLD ME THAT SHE WAS SENT BACK TO COLOMBIA AT 4PM BECAUSE SHE DID NOT HAVE PROPER PAPERS. THAT WAS A LIE !!!!!!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS COUNTRY !!!! MY FRIEND WAS HELD AGAINST HER WILL WITH NOWAY TO CONTACT ANYONE INCLUDING ME. THE POLICE AND IMMIGRATION OFFICIALS KNEW THAT I WAS THERE AND THEY WERE COMMUNICATING WITH ME FOR 5 HOURS. BUT THEY TOLD MY GIRLFRIEND THAT I DID NOT SHOW UP AND THAT SHE WAS ALONE. THEY ALSO TOLD HER TO STAY AWAY FROM AMERICANS THAT WE ARE BAD PEOPLE. BULLSHIT!!!!!!! SHE WAS HELD AGAINST HER WILL IN THE IMMIGRATION OFFICE ALL NIGHT AND THE NEXT DAY. I WAS ALSO AT THE AIRPORT MOST OF THAT TIME AND I DID NOT BELIEVE THAT SHE WAS SENT BACK TO COLOMBIA. DO NOT GO TO MEXICO!!!!! THEY SAID THAT SHE HAD NO MONEY , NO HOTEL, NO WAY OF STAYING IN CANCUN. THAT WAS A LIE, BECAUSE SHE HAD OUR ITINERERY, AND ALL OUR PLANS. IF SHE WOULD NOT HAVE HAD THESE THINGS SHE COULD HAVE NEVER LEFT BOGOTA, COLOMBIA. THESE IMMIGRATION OFFICIALS ARE LIARS AND CRIMINALS AND I HOPE THAT THE WORLD SEES THAT AND WILL ARREST THESE PEOPLE . I AM TELLING YOU , PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THSI COUNTRY. YOU ARE HEADING FOR TROUBLE. FINALLY , MY FRIEND WAS HELD 26 HOURS WITH NO FOOD, NOT DRINK, NO TELEPHONE OR CELL PHONE, AND WAS TORMENTED ALL AGAINST HER WILL. I HOPE THAT EVERYONE READS THIS AND IS WARNED ABOUT THE BRUTALITY OF THE IMMIGRATION OFFICE IN THE CANCUN AIRPORT. DO NOT GO TO CANCUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  Greetings ALL, I have had the need to use the services of the Colombian Consulate in Washington, D.C. and have been just amazed in the efficiency, professionalism and knowledge and protocol of everything I've needed. I will say and add the following, when we call to ask on services needed, that they provide you with the cost amount and account number where you you need to go to pay for such said services. I believe this will expedite the time it takes to go and pay and come back with a deposit to proof you paid.
