This year on April 14, 2018 Charlotte is celebrating its 250th Anniversary with more than 50 costumed portrayers telling the stories of our founding fathers, civic and community leaders, amazing pioneering women and a few "interesting" characters that have made Charlotte was it is today. Family friendly. FREE. 1-4PM.

  I was looking for interesting views to photograph of Uptown charlotte (a little hobby of mine) and I stumbled onto this cemetery. Not my usual location but it provided some beautiful shots. I discovered this cemetery, despite being a place for the dead, and found it was as beautiful as a cemetery can be. So beautiful, I kept seeing joggers and walkers going through it constantly. That's just weird but I get it.

  This cemetery has amazing history. I wouldn't have known about it and all it's monuments and memorials if it weren't for the Poke Stops here (Pokemon Go). There is a firefighter memorial, Gold Star moms memorial, and many war memorials just to name a few.

  The views are beautiful. The grounds men seem to take pride in their profession. Very clean, quiet and peaceful.
