::Delicious! Coffee in the morning is great, but dinner was even better! Service was excellent. It is rather noisy, which I think is helpful to know in advance. It didn't bother me, but that could be consideration based on the occasion. The tonnato toast was so delicious. Also had the rillete, lamb and cheese crackers. I'd have them all again!

::There's a good reason Elle's was rated #1 in the Post spring dining guide. Our dinner was fantastic. Apparently the menu changes often but our favorite by far were the scallops. They seemed to just melt in my mouth and the sauce was so yummy to soak up with their fresh country bread. Well done, Lizzy and Nick!

::Good baguette, pretty lousy scone to be honest. The prices were painful and not posted anywhere. Overall a pretty typical DC restaurant: looks sharp, food was good but not great and the price would make this a once every 2-3 months kind of place for me.

::This review is for dinner, and is really more like a 2.5. The food was good, but my two dinner companions and I all found it to be far too expensive for what we got. The $12 carrots were tasty but just a few bites, and the spicy apples were not something I'd order again for the price. The meat dishes at the bottom of the menu are also smaller portions than I'd expect. Service was also a bit odd... Refilling our water every sip and anxious to clear unfinished plates as if they were rushing us out even though there were plenty of open tables. There are some good points, like the cute decor, but I don't think you get the same experience as with other upscale small neighborhood spots like Mola, Little Coco's, or Maple.

::Very cute little place I've been meaning to visit since it opened not long ago. I stopped by with my son last week for a cup of coffee and some treats. We loved the quirky wallpaper and beautiful tile in the gorgeous old building. Coffee was delicious and the scone was tasty, but wish they would have served it warm. I'd been promising an extra special treat for my son so we grabbed a slice of the birthday cake in the case. The actual cake was really yummy, cinnamon-y and moist, but the icing was "traditional" and bland, not for me. The baked goods seemed limited when we were there, was hoping for more selection. Though we were in a historic building, the ambiance was not all that warm, not someplace I'd seek out for meeting friends. But glad we gave it a try! I'm sure they have plans for expanding the menu in the future, it's so new. If I lived in the area, I'd be there for coffee often. Such a neat idea to renovate a historic spot like this one.
