Had the Chorizo, egg and potato burrito with an ice cold horchata. It was perfect! No complaints at all. The salsa that comes with it is one of the best I've had. Its not the salsa water that most places give to you.

Loooovvvveeee.. El Norteno. Everything they make is good. But, the must try is the red chile burrito (enchilada style) and their Mexican pizza (it's huge). I can't get enough of their red salsa. I put it on everything. I feel they should sell it by the buckets. This place is a small little joint. Outside eating. When you order it's only a small space to walk-in... maybe 4 people can fit comfortably. After you order you go outside to wait and when it's ready they call your number from a small window and you either stay and eat on their little patio area or take it to go. I've been eating here for years. Recommend it to anyone that's on that side of town or willing to take a drive. They have daily specials each day. The food is tasty and it's at an affordable price with nice size portions. 🌯❤

OMG.. Great prices usually get the Red Chilli Enchilada Style Burrito. Highly recommend this place. Other places charge almost 7 dollars for a burrito when I can get a burrito and a drink for less than that 🙌💕.

Food is excellent!!! And the price is very reasonable. A friend told me about this place. And said it was better than Carolina's. Which I thought Carolina's could not be beat. They have great food. But, by far El Norteno beats Carolina's in both food and price. I live in Gilbert and will definitely stop by El Norteno every time I come to Phoenix.

Cash only, line out the door moves quickly, outdoor seating only. Given how busy they get, orders are filled fast. The food is flavorful and portion sizes are generous. The salsa is worth paying extra. Staff are congenial and efficient; they've accommodated a few special requests with ease. Great "locals" spot to take visitors.
