  Worst duane reade in the city. Service sucks, it always takes at least 10 mins to pay even if you are the next in line. Cashiers are slow and terrible at their job because they are always socializing with other employees

  Sophia in the pharmacy - and the whole pharmacy - is amazing! One of the employees on the floor, a super sweet guy, helped me pick out nail polish while I was waiting (what else to do but shop?), and everyone was attentive and kind. Yaaaaaaay for being treated like a real live human being!

  Unlike the other reviewers, I think this Duane Reade's pharmacy is its best asset: The staff is consistently courteous and tries hard to get prescriptions out quickly. It's amazing how much is in stock in their teeny space downstairs; I've yet to be told they don't have something, a common occurrence at some mammoth competitors nearby. I find it's the rest of this Duane Reade that is lacking - in inventory and service; count on inexplicably long lines upstairs in the purely retail portion of the store.
