  The staff I encountered at the pharmacy are surly and have a bad attitude. Strange that they need to be reminded that this is a service job, and more importantly, that they are not selling lipstick but presumably helping people with items that they need for their HEALTH. Walgreens training fail!!

  The people working in the pharmacy are so patient, kind, friendly and go out of their way for you that it is almost shocking, especially in a big city. They definitely have a small town feel. I am so thankful for them as they have helped me so much, and they are really nonjudgmental. I have gotten sick lately and my insurance has been a bit of a mess, and they have gone way beyond the call of duty. It is hard enough to be sick but I expect pharmacy employees to be abrupt and impersonal--not them. I cannot say enough good things about the people in this pharmacy. Thank you! You would never know this is a corporate store, I hope they pay the employees well, they deserve it. Great, empathic place.

  Twice in one week for different reasons the pharmacy is just shut down. Last week they had a "systems problem" for a full day, which was unique to this location and unable to have another Duane Reade pharmacy fulfill. Only alternative was to have doctor try to cancel and reorder, which is impossible if it is a "controlled" but essential medication. Today, the pharmacy was scheduled to open at 8am, but without notice (or even a sign at the pharmacy window, it was shuttered. Asked cashier at the front and they did not open because the pharmacist went to serve at a flu clinic. So, no one else can show up?

  Don't ever come here. The manager is black and racist. Will deny you service even with valid i.d. he should be fired for being disrespectful towards a regular customer and thanks to him, he just lost business.
