  Walking in and seeing the Darby Crash cover for Slash magazine on the wall told me I was in the right place. The vinyl selection is just amazing and they had a ton of great bands that I never thought I'd find in a store. The clerk was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.....and not to mention the Japanese imports. I can't wait to come back.

  A number of years ago i would have given them 5 stars, the current version is lacking a bit. It still offers a great variety of fun t shirts and a small amount of other clothing and novelties that you probably won't find anywhere else locally. Watch the sizing on the t shirts though. Some are slim fit some are more traditional fit. Makes things slightly awkward to know what to buy. The past few times I've been in I feel like I'm being stalked by the staff. I fully understand anti theft measures, and the staff is friendly, but it's almost uncomfortable to shop at this point. Spring for a couple more cameras and watch those! Finally if you are looking for the records and CDs those are now across the street under some tea shop. To add to this awkwardness you can't return or exchange merchandise at the opposite store. When were were in the "underground" shop we wanted to exchange a shirt for the same shirt in a different color and would have had to run back across the street, return for store credit then come back and buy it at the second shop. There has to be a better way to do things! Overall still one of my favorite shops in the area, but I miss the old days.

  I went here about a year ago, when it was one store. It was nice. Helpful staff, good selection of alternative genres on vinyl at reasonable prices. I looked forward to visiting again my next time in Omaha. They've since split the store. Drastic Plastic Underground is under a sub shop in a well lit but drab as hell basement. Their prices were egregious. Almost everything I saw was $20-$40. For your basic reissues. Very little used. Nothing special, you might as well shop online and save the trip. The main store is now basically a hot topic. Nerdy/Ironic shirts mostly. Go to homers for a shop that isn't just about money.
